The Story

The Navis Freebird is an all-around excellent tool for any human-powered mission — a versatile, featherweight touring ski built for riders who want one ski to handle the full range of backcountry conditions all season long. A paulownia and poplar sandwich core paired with mixed glass and carbon fibre delivers an exceptionally light layup without sacrificing the response and stability needed for confident descents in variable snow. Progressive front rocker with a flared tip planes over mixed snow surfaces, while long classic camber underfoot provides extended edge contact for alpine-style cornering — a combination that makes this ski as capable on the way down as it is efficient on the way up. A Titanal binding reinforcement plate ensures hybrid binding compatibility, and the progressive tail secures support and facilitates pivoting in tight terrain.
