The Orb Freebird is built for the fast-and-light crowd — a featherweight touring ski that optimises the uphill experience without abandoning performance on the way down. A paulownia core paired with a mix of glass and carbon fibres keeps weight to a minimum while retaining the stiffness and response needed for a ski that still needs to perform at speed. Partial semi-cap construction with cap in the tip area shaves further weight without compromising the structural integrity needed underfoot, and a Titanal binding reinforcement plate accommodates modern hybrid bindings for added versatility. At 90mm underfoot with front rocker and classic camber, it floats in soft spring snow and carves with enough authority to make the descent worth the climb.
